Chip क्या होता है?
- Chip एक छोटा सा टुकड़ा होता है semiconductor material (जैसे silicon) का।
- इसके अंदर microscopic level पर electronic circuits बने होते हैं।
- ये circuits transistors, diodes, resistors वगैरह से मिलकर एक function perform करते हैं।
Example: एक bare silicon chip जो सिर्फ wafer से कट कर आया है।
IC (Integrated Circuit) क्या होता है?
- जब उस chip को एक package में डाल दिया जाता है—जिसमें pins, pads या leads होते हैं ताकि उसे motherboard या PCB पर लगाया जा सके—तो उसे कहते हैं IC।
- IC एक ready-to-use electronic component होता है जिसे technician solder कर सकता है या replace कर सकता है।
Example: CPU, RAM, USB controller, Audio IC—all are packaged chips यानी ICs।
IC के अंदर क्या-क्या होता है?
- Transistors → Logic और switching के लिए
- Resistors → Current control
- Capacitors → Filtering और timing
- Diodes → Directional current flow
ये सब एक ही chip में integrate किए जाते हैं—इसलिए नाम है Integrated Circuit।
